Why we ask
Training is evidence. An inspector looking at your company's records has to be able to see that the person named on a certificate is the person who sat the course. That is the whole reason for this step, and it takes a few seconds.
The photo
- When it is taken
- After you finish the lessons and the assessment, just before the certificate.
- Where it goes
- It is kept with your certificate, in your company's own records.
- What else it is used for
- Nothing. It is not shared, not published, and not used to identify you anywhere else.
Worth knowing
If the camera will not open, which is common on a locked-down work laptop, you can sign a short declaration instead. It carries the same weight.
